Each home we build is tested by a qualified third party at multiple stages during the building process to ensure adherence to energy standards and provide accurate documentation of features. Each home is then awarded a Home Energy Rating (HERS) score based on review of energy standards set by the Residential Energy Services Network. A typical resale home is rated around 130 while a standard new home is rated at 100 – our homes consistently score in the low 70’s, which means a new home by Satterwhite Construction Inc. is 30% more efficient than the standard new homes on the market and nearly 50% more efficient than a typical resale home.
